NOTE: It is challenging to post pictures but we will try from time to time.
The good news is that we posted a few pictures today. The picture of the cake is from the dinner where we celebrated the engagement of Eric and Kara. The picture of the three ladies with the drinks is from the Crystal Society Reception. There is a picture of all of us that the butler took in our room last evening.
We wanted to mention what a nice time we had last evening. The kids enjoyed the items we had in the room and they got to meet the butler Alexander. Alexander takes care of about eight rooms. He is wonderful. The food was delicious.
We all dined at the Prego Italian Restaurant and had a delicious meal. Some of the family members had pasta while others had other Italian cuisine items. The adults enjoyed beautifully prepared black sea bass.
We went right from dinner to attend the late night show and there were three entertainers and it was outstanding. As we mentioned yesterday the highlight was Cruise Director Gary Hunter.
Today we are sailing at sea as we cruise to Key West, Florida.
Since we are already on the ship we will not attend the World Cruise Gala at the Four Seasons Hotel in Miami. For those World Cruisers who, like us, are already on the ship we received invitations for a Gala Celebration hosted by Captain John Okland on board the Crystal Serenity. This will take place on Sunday, January 10 starting with pre-dinner cocktails at 6:00 PM at one of the lounges and then will continue with dinner at 6:30 PM at the Prego Italian Restaurant. The children have also been invited which to attend which will make the evening even more special.
This morning we arose early as we normally do. It was a little more challenging since we attended last nights show.
While a little sleepy Keith arrived to the Fitness Center a little after 5:30 AM and worked out on his favorite Elliptical Machine for an hour and twenty minutes and Anne Marie arrived a little later for a one-hour workout on the Treadmill. Afterwards, we enjoyed a nice breakfast in our room.
After his workout, Keith spoke with our friends John and Linda while getting a cup of coffee to bring back to the room. Later in the morning we enjoyed a nice breakfast.
In the morning the seas were moderately rough but by late morning the seas worsened. The seas started to bother both Jennifer and Kara. There was a Latin Buffet today. The children preferred to have lunch in the Main Dining Room so that is where we went. We all enjoyed a very nice lunch.
For the first time since arriving on the ship we walked into the various on board stores just to see what they were featuring this time around.
In the afternoon the women watched a movie in the cinema and the men talked for awhile and then too the tour of the Galley in the Crystal Dining Room.
In the early evening, we went to the Captain’s Farewell Reception and then afterwards had a delicious dinner in the Main Dining Room.
At dinner we celebrated Eric, Jennifer and Gui’s birthdays with a delicious birthday cake in the Main Dining Room.
Tomorrow morning we arrive in Key West, Florida.
OUR THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY…..
“Nothing is so strong as gentleness. Nothing is so gentle as real strength.”
Keith and Anne Marie
